About the Program

Our Mission

We provide instruction and competition for young boys and girls in the highest level of basketball; to give young boys and girls the opportunity to meet and play with other top players from Peoria, Bloomington/Normal and surrounding communities; to teach responsibility and good sportsmanship; and aid young players in their desire to play at the college level on the court and academically.

Heart of Illinois AAU Program is Central Illinois only program to consistently send girls teams to AAU State and AAU Nationals. As AAU sanctioned events have phased out circuits have taken their place to emphasize exposure and playing top programs. We are the only Central Illinois program that has Girls teams in the Bluestar League, Elite40 League and NE2K League. Playing on an established circuit during viewing/recruiting periods is a must for any high school players looking for exposure and next level opportunities. We compete at the highest level spring/summer basketball has to offer. We have and continue to receive invites to some of the top competitive tournaments nationwide.

Every season we look to improve our program to further help players develop to reach their highest potential on the court. We continue to focus on elite levels for our girls teams and continuing to grow our boys division.

Our girls teams this season will face a stronger/more competitive schedule to prepare for the highest level of competition. Our girls teams will combine individual skill workouts, strength and conditioning, and team practices to develop all of the important aspects to improving as a complete player.

Our boys teams continue to grow in competitiveness not just locally but throughout the Midwest. With coaching staffs that have continuously been in our program over the past 5 years our boys teams keep growing and improving. Our goal moving into next season will be to continue to develop our boys teams to be competitive in AAU tournaments. Our boys teams will continue to enhance their schedules to face stronger/more competitive competition to prepare for their school teams and higher level competition. Our boys teams wills combine individual skill workouts, strength and conditioning opportunities, and team practices to develop all the important aspects to improving as complete player.
