Heart of Illinois is proud to announce we will now be a Member of BlueStar Basketball!

Heart of Illinois is the only BlueStar club in Illinois south of Chicago.

BlueStar / USJN has produced one of the nation’s top high school girl’s basketball circuits in the country. The Girls BlueStar Circuit features 45 BlueStar sponsored programs that battle it out at different stops around the Country in hopes of becoming one of the top teams at the star-studded Blue Star Nike Nationals Tournament each year.

BlueStar has invested time and resources into further developing their 15u (Frosh & Soph) as 15u teams now qualify for the BlueStar Nationals that is played at the same time and location.

In addition to the league, 7th and 8th grade Rising BlueStar member organizations have the opportunity to participate in BlueStar Evaluation Camps.

For over 25 years BlueStar, has been one of the most influential organizations in women’s basketball. BlueStar has been instrumental in selecting and advising publications such as The Sporting News, USA Today, Gatorade Circle of Champions and MCDonalds All American Team, to name a few. These rankings and evaluations are part of the National BlueStar Report available to media and colleges across the country. BlueStar Media

SO WHY BLUESTAR?

Through our hard work and commitment, we have been able to be recognized as a leader in player development and producing potential college prospects. The BlueStar recruiting program is a national power in the women’s college recruiting world and they have accepted us as a BlueStar Travel team. Thus, being BlueStar Sponsored offers our teams and players a more recognized and highly respected name among college coaches.

SO WHY HEART OF ILLINOIS BLUESTAR?

2018 marks the 9th year of our program in the Central Illinois. In that time we have been fortunate to have players in our program from more than 40 Central Illinois cities. In 8 years we have competed at the highest level of AAU/Exposure basketball with all Central Illinois players. We have competed to the point where we have placed in many top level national tournaments, including an AAU National Championship. Our program may be 8 years old, but our coaching staff have been in the AAU/Exposure environment for almost 20 years and have helped Central Illinois players in the recruiting process realize their goals of playing college basketball at all levels including Division I on scholarship. We have built a system over the years that has proven to not only be successful for our athletes competing at the highest levels, but it has built lasting relationships among athletes, families, and contacts within the travel recruiting environment. We are beyond excited to be chosen to share this opportunity with our Central Illinois girls basketball community and know this will be a game changer for our area athletes that before now were not available to any program in this area.
